Description
When designing the robe, I, Benedikta, imagined big color blocks in primary colors, yellow, blue and red. Now having sewn it up quite some time later we decided on a bit more sophisticated color combination in which everyone following our blog posts had a part in. The solid colors really pronounce the design but I can very well imagine it in a mix of prints or stripes and solids. If our robe would not have been all in silk we would have taken the sleeve part double and added a thin layer of quilting in between with the typical diamond shaped top-stitching. That extra would be a nice idea if the gown is made as a warm cozy Christmas present surprise. Enjoy!

Would anyone be able to help me out with this? I really want to make this out of some fabric I have, but I need to know how much I need of each colour before I know if I can make it! Would anyone who has the pattern be able to tell me how much fabric I need for each colour?

Very cute. I think I might try it in fleece.

How lovely! Any woman would feel ultra feminine and sexy in this! I used to fear silk and charmeuse when I was a younger sewer (I never did finish the silk dress for my bridal shower) but I think I might attempt this one! I also may do this in moleskin or velour, I live in the north and need a warmer robe at this time of year

Hi, is anyone else having trouble purchasing this? I can’t click on my shopping cart, it comes up with an error message, or keeps opening the same page many times, but not completely. :( Want to get started on a present for someone. Great pattern by the way!

Thanks for adding this drawing because I was wondering what you meant about taking the sleeve part double, too. This looks like a great pattern!

Hey Purplecrayon,
What I suggested was more an idea, I can make you a drawing for it if you would like to, to illustrate it better. You don’t have to apply it at all in any other fabric if you don’t want to. Drawing coming right up :)

When you say, “If our robe would not have been all in silk we would have taken the sleeve part double and added a thin layer of quilting in between with the typical diamond shaped top-stitching.” What exactly do you mean? Because i plan to make this in fleece fabric, so would i need to add the quilting layer?

I love this pattern! I hope to make this sometime soon. I seem to be falling behind on all my projects, especially the Christmas gifts. :(

I love it! I have always wanted one of these! I may make one for my friends birthday or Christmas present. I prefer making things I wear around the house, means if it goes wrong nobody has to see but you can still enjoy it!

Oh, that’s a nice one! One could easily make a bathrobe out of it by simply lengthening it.

ooh LUSH! This would be perfect for my odd sizes of leftover charmeuse… (and it’s go very well with the silk pyjamas I just made – if only they were for me!)
