Okay, my daughter tells me that raglan sleeves are “in”, my son says they are “cool”.
This is a basic raglan sleeve tee shirt, (self-drafted pattern) upcycled from 2 old tees that were never going to be worn again. The idea was to get the sizing right for Clare and I think it was a success. On the whole a pretty easy project.
Material Notes
Cotton jersey, twin needle for obvious stitching.

Nice! I’ve been battling with knits and have decided to wait until I can figure out how to get my serger going again. I’m very envious of you ladies who seem to have knits conquered!

I did a stretch sewing course about 25 years ago, they are easy when you learn how ;) Inever owned a serger until recently. This was done on my straight stitch machine using stretch stitches. At the moment I am trying to figure out the gathered cross-over top that was put up recently… it’s not the fabric, it’s the sizing…Burda patterns just don’t seem to fit my short (but standard-sized) body!

Ha ha haaaaaa!
Sizing is my downfall too, it seems. Did you see my latest project? Fully 4 INCHES too big around the waist. Really? How could I be that far off base?
I suspect it’s not so much sizing that’s my problem, to be honest. It’s more likely the problem is merely sewing. I should give up.
But I can’t!
My name is Toni and I’m an addict.

Thanks Mary, after wanting this, she’s gone and cut the sleeves off!
