Alison, our Creative Director, is getting married in September— and in BurdaStyle fashion, she’s created the attire for her bridal party: including seven different bridesmaids dresses and her wedding gown. She designed six of the bridesmaids dresses herself, and for the seventh, experimented with burda style magazine’s bubble dress pattern, which is available for download. All of the bridesmaids dresses were made from various types of peach colored silk.
Alison’s Notes: I find that this shape works well for many different body types, and the folds of fabric make an elegant statement. The instructions for this dress tend to be quite tricky, so I made some changes to the construction of the dress— see here for my notes on making the sewing process a bit more simple.
