Description

I took the Alison bathing suit pattern, opened up the bottom and extended it. Getting the right hem shape was tricky, since it was shorter in the back at first! Anyways, I think I might get some cool beads to sew onto the top. I even bought some cute retro sunglasses to complete my look :) Keeps my covered and still stylish!

Material Notes

Lyrca… pattern I originally didn’t like, but it grew on me.

Are you kidding me? This is by far the cutest bathing suit I have seen in the longest time. Girl you nailed it!! I love it and you have inspired me to try my hand at your version! Can you please tell me what changes you made to the back strap? It looks different than the pattern. thanks and happy swimming :-)

This is ridonkulously cute! I’m feeling inspired. Any rough guides as to how long you extended the bottom? I’ve got these thighs, y’see… :D

This is so fantastic. What a great idea. What did you do with the bikini part? Is it a seperate piece or built in?

yes! I took my favorite bikini bottoms and copied them to make a matching pair that goes under the swimdress.
