Description

I took the Alison bathing suit pattern, opened up the bottom and extended it. Getting the right hem shape was tricky, since it was shorter in the back at first! Anyways, I think I might get some cool beads to sew onto the top. I even bought some cute retro sunglasses to complete my look :) Keeps my covered and still stylish!

Material Notes

Lyrca… pattern I originally didn’t like, but it grew on me.

This is ridonkulously cute! I’m feeling inspired. Any rough guides as to how long you extended the bottom? I’ve got these thighs, y’see… :D

This is so fantastic. What a great idea. What did you do with the bikini part? Is it a seperate piece or built in?

yes! I took my favorite bikini bottoms and copied them to make a matching pair that goes under the swimdress.
