Los Angeles, Cal...
For the Sew Weekly Oscars theme, I chose Colleen Atwood’s award-winning Alice in Wonderland costumes. I based my version off of the pale blue with black palette, and tried to keep it floofy and girly while still being not too costume-y. I used lace instead of embroidery, and kept the tiered skirt but shortened it considerably to keep it wearable. Unfortunately, due to a poor sleeve pattern that I didn’t muslin beforehand, I can’t lift my arms at all. Oh well, I just need to stand around looking confused about the whereabouts of the white rabbit, right?
