Description

Seeing this new post from Burdastyle I wanted to show you my idea of crafting when it comes to shoes. I’ve painted them a year ago. Original colour was blue with white piping(you can see the original colour on the last picture, that was the begging). Being a huge fan of Tim Burton, I’ve was blown away by the movie and decided to make an hommage to Alice in Wonderland. :)

    Borosane su ti genijalne! Ideja je fenomenalna, nosila bih ih bukvalno svakog dana! Ja sam ih kod nas viđala samo u teget boji, nisam znala da ih proizvode i u drugim nijansama.

      On closer inspection, the eyes and Cheshire cat’s grin popping out from the heel is absolutely brilliant. LOVE!

      Thanks, I’ve protected the painting with acrylic emulsion, they are water-resistant. :)

    This is definitely a “Two Thumbs Up” project – love the style of the shoe as well! These shoes should be on display in an Art Show! Very well done!

      Thank you for your kind words! These shoes are from a Croatian manufacturer called Borovo. They were designed for working women in the early 80’s an are known for their extreme comfort because you can wear them whole working day and you won’t feel any pain in your feet. :)

      Hvala, koristila sam akrilne boje za slikanje. Kad se slika osušila, premazala sam ih slikarskom akrilnom emulzijom da budu otpornije. :)

      Thnx, it took me 2-3 days to paint them, I wanted to achieve depth so I first had to under-paint everything… :)

      Yes, I REALLY painted them, I studied painting so this is actually my profession. I’m wearing them on photos of my red gingham picnic dress. ;)
