Since Tim Burton recreates Alice in Woderland (can’t wait to see it!) I wanted to go as Alice this Halloween.
Unfortunately I couldn’t manage to finish in time and went as Mrs Lovett from Sweeney Todd instead. (colleen atwood is such a genius as a costume designer, I love every single one of her creations!)
The bodice is partly from my lingerie/ nightwear blouse disaster
and the skirt is the pattern from my prom dress wheras the yoke(?) originally comes from my striped pin up shorts
I even bought a little rabbit to make into a purse XD
But the skirt is not hemmed, cause I wanted to add another layer/ruche (as seen in my sketch) , the blouse isn’t fitted enough and the skirt doesn’t fit me in the waist where it’s supposed to fit, it rather hangs unhappily on my hipps when wearing .…which is btw the original position of the shorts…dang
So I have defintely some amount of work to do until it is finished. Maybe I’ll wear it to carnival or when I go to the premiere of Tim Burton’s movie ;-)
(the last picture is of course from the original Tim Burton movie)
some cheap lining fabric in a light blue and gray (there where only 2,5m left off the blue one, but I needed 5 m ), buttons, elastic for the sleeves

So great! I’m planning to try to make her dress from after she drinks from the bottle and shrinks. It’s difficult though, as it’s hard to see what it fully looks like with the small amount that they show you on the preview!
You did a great job!
