This dress just looks like Alice to me, the pattern, the fabic, the hair… This prim little number was made from Simplicity 9769 chemise/corset pattern in less than two weeks. I started out entirely handsewing this but I put it down for to long and didnt have time so I gave in and ran it thru my Janome.

Very nice fabric indeed! You are right that it mimics Alice, great call on that. I am curious to why you wanted to do the entire dress by hand?

No real reason I wanted to handsew ,I guess, just a sense of adventure. :)
Thank you for the kind words, I think the fabric was curtains at one time (I got it at a yardsale)
I made this to enter it into the Simplicity halloween costume contest last year, I didn’t hear anything back, though. To give you an idea of how chrunched for time I was, entries were due on the 20th of september- I finished this on the 18th
