This dress is a project for week #2 at Project Run and Play. It is supposed to be inspired by a fashion icon, so I chose Alexander McQueen. Although he is no longer with us, this is inspired by a current dress from his fashion house. I have added some skulls to the design, though.
Pertinent facts:
- Fabric: stretch cotton poplin for body, stretch chiffon for neckline, satin ribbon for hems
- Invisible zipper closure on the back
- Pattern: my own
- Stencil and painting: my own design…took about 4 hours to paint. Most of that time was edging the design in black.

Thanks!
No, the skulls are iron on’s I got from Dharma Trading. They are some light metallic painted form. Pretty easy to get onto the clothing just using an iron.
