Description

This is my entry for the alabama style contest! Natalie Chanin’s book’s preview inspired me to incorporate delicate hand-stitched applique into a dress.
i picked the ivory natural cotton fabric on purpose to incorporate some “nature” feel to it. then I appliqued some flowers by hand. It took a while to complete this!
I picked the dress design that’s rather modern and edgy so it balances out with natural feel of the fabric and applique.
the pattern is a modification of danielle dress on burdastyle.

I’ll say it is your personal signature to the piece. A lot of designers aim for it I would imagine. Just promise that you’ll keep on making them interesting… ^^
