This is my entry for the alabama style contest! Natalie Chanin’s book’s preview inspired me to incorporate delicate hand-stitched applique into a dress.
i picked the ivory natural cotton fabric on purpose to incorporate some “nature” feel to it. then I appliqued some flowers by hand. It took a while to complete this!
I picked the dress design that’s rather modern and edgy so it balances out with natural feel of the fabric and applique.
the pattern is a modification of danielle dress on burdastyle.

i used danielle pattern for back, but separated in two. i dont know how to describe it, but i cut the middle part open!
