Description

Never mind the sun, you don’t need it when this dress is around! Yellow and grey batik cotton – very bright!
Pattern used is Burda 7556. We added a little bit in the neckline, as it does come down very low for a 14 year old! I didn’t want to mess with the original neckline, as it has a nice line. Daughter no 2 is very much a dress girl. She loves the fullness of the skirt and the little puffy sleeves.

    Your dress really caught my eye because of it’s lovely colour. It spells youth and looks fresh and beautiful on your daughter. Yellow is so underused as a dress colour and I’m sure you have inspired others (myself included) to sew with yellow.

    If only more 14 yoear olds would dress like this these days!

      Thanks very much. Daughter no 1 isn’t much of a dress person, so I get my fill in with daughter no 2 instead! Yellow is fab, just gotta be careful of the shade, not everyone can wear it!

    Beautiful dress-I don’t know who’s luckier-your daughter for having a mum that makes her such lovely dresses or you for having a daughter who will wear dresses and not just jeans and tshirts!
