It’s been a while since I didn’t post anything here, but it’s been a busy summer!!! ;) Here’s a victorian dress inspired by Nancy Peña’s new comic book “It is not a piece of cake”, introducing Aileen. I just loved how romantic she looked and I fell in love with the drawings of that dress… So, yeah… decided to make it!
The vest is based on an authentic victorian pattern, but I modified the lapel and made it round, and made it a little longer in the front. No pattern for the skirt. I made a bustle then draped the fabric on my mannequin. The pleated ribbons took me a long time to sew!!!
