Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This must be my favorite project ever! I bought the e-pattern for this pirate jacket from Biglittle on Etsy. The pattern comes with clear instructions and lots of pictures and is very easy to make. It was quite time consuming to make though due to the large amount of hand stitched and embroidered felt pieces. The loot bag and treasure map are both detachable as they’re attached with snap buttons (perfect for treasure hunting!). I completely fell in love with the pirate ship buttons I found on a flea market.

Material Notes
1 meter of wool, viscose lining, some scraps of left over fabric for the patches, buttons and lots of colors of felt.

After going to Forever 21 and seeing all kinds of cute stuff for so cheap, I wondered why I sew in the first place. But after seeing your adorable coat (and I have little boys who will love wearing these year round!) I am reminded of why I sew!
