Description

I had been looking for a sailor top for quite a few years and never found the perfect one. I few weeks ago a friend kindly lent me Butterick 7444, a pattern from the 1950s. It was very easy to sew and has a very clever detail: the upper collar is detachable so that different colour combinations are possible. I had originally planned to use blue fabric but then I liked the idea of using a not so classic grey even better. I bought the dark- and light grey cottons at Tissus Reine at Montmatre and the buttons at Dam Boutons. There are a few more pictures on my blog.
