I swore to re-make my pleated tee creation…
I thought I would be able to pull it off as originally designed (since I already did it once, only it was disastrous). But nah… not again… :(
Although it is very much more wearable now, I still have a few regrets 1.) the jersey was too slippery (almost like satin) 2.) too late that I realized that the folds should go across my body and not almost vertical as it is now 3.) I rushed on finishing the neckline and the sleeves (as I usually do out of excitement) that it looks (in my opinion) haphazardly done.
I wore it yesterday with a pair of jeans and although I feel a bit awkward because the fabric is so clingy to the body, It was alright. Just have to think of a way to keep the shoulders from sliding up and not maintain the shape and look that it should be.

Did you drape this on the bust? Or did you drape the Jersey first and cut out your pattern then?? I don’t know what I would do or what will work best……
Really like it ^^

hi Krabbe1990… thanks for liking this creation.
with both versions (this and the first one), I first traced out the shirt pattern that I wanted to use on a pattern paper. Then, I drew lines on the traced pattern (where I want the drapes to go), cut and spread them onto the fabric. I then, transferred all the lines onto the fabric.
I think you can also drape straight on the dress form, but I am not yet that experienced a sewer (haven’t tried draping) so I opted to use the pattern-first approach.

I really like the look of this shirt. The photo shows the drape nicely, it does not look as bad as you might think. :)
