Used the marie skirt to made a short summer skirt from african cotton. I was after more of a pencil shape as this slightly a-line/poofy thing is not really my style…fortunately the sister snapped it up quick so not wasted :-)

Great skirt! I love the bubble-like shape. It seems a bit shorter than regular Marie, how many yard of fabric you used for this?? I’d like to make one!

I loooooove this, and the poofiness is cute, you should definitely borrow it back from your sister! And it’s an amazing print.. do you have metres and metres of it left over (as it is sold in 6yard lengths)? Fancy an african wax print swap?
