I love the african fabrics, would love to know where to find some in the west country.

I love this! The best thing about making your own dresses is that they can be long enough for you. I am rather tall (5’11") and finding a good length dress at a store is next to impossible! This is a great style and you did a wonderful job. It fits your bust nice —which is very importat!—and the length seams perfect!

And p.s. I hate zipps too! Sometimes I secretly use velcro—-shhhhhhhh.

This is beautiful! I have some very similar fabric that I bought in Ghana a couple of years ago, and your dress is giving me inspiration that fabrics like this can be made into something I could wear here in NY. Great work, and thank you for the inspiration!!

Your dress is pretty and well made. I like the chosen fabric, style and all. The fit is good too.
