I used some cotton fabric with African patterns I bougt at a local haberdashery. I liked the idea of using an Asian pattern with an African fabric, of mixing styles.

Absolutely lovely, this pattern does turn out so much better with a strong print, I am going to have a go at doing another one myself now, thanks for the inspiration!

I already favorated the Desira and next summer I’ll do it. Your version looks great and really I have a fabric in my box which I received as present from my friend who stayed in africa – 25 years ago. Super shirt!

I wasn’t sure I liked the Desira pattern when I started making it before but this looks gorgeous on you and has pursuaded me to have to another go – mine was a plain fabric but you have got it right – it needs a great patterned fabric

I agree, that fabric is amazing, I think I like it so much because of the circles, they are such a great contrast to the squareness of the top, it looks great, great fit too :)
