Description

I really like the coffee date dress pattern but wanted a version with a lower neck line. this is actually a bit too low :P but it’s only a try out dress..as always these try out garments grow on me and I have to finish them properly :) really like how it turned out. Fabric is from a friend who went to Togo volunteering and came home with fabrics :D I’m not too much into African fabrics, they are a bit too bold for me, but this one is really nice. luckily I didn’t had to alter too much as I don’t have a single scrap of fabric left :P
so I lowered the front neckline quite a bit and the back neckline just a little bit. By accident I cut the back in fold and therefore had to insert the zipper on the right side instead of the back. But most important of all: I added pockets (on purpose). I just can’t walk around without pockets :)

I love your version! Great fabric. I’m going to sew this dress with the same alterations you did :)

It’s so pretty! I love the color and print, especially with the contrast of your red hair :)

Very cute and interesting-looking. The busy fabric works well in a simple pattern.
