Another variation on the Danielle pattern!!! This time I altered the skirt section to make it more A line, and kept the v neck from my last version! I used the pattern of the fabric to my advantage and cut very carefully to get it out of 2m (or was it 150cm?? can’t remember). Anyway, as always it fits well and will be debuted at an IKEA event!

I’ve just started making this dress and have got to the part of fitting the trim. Can’t seem to get my head around how to do this. Also don’t know if the dress should have a lining or not? Any help or suggestions would be great as this is my first dress and really have no idea what I’m doing. I love your dress BTW, so cute. Something to aspire to.

Hi – do you mean the trim between the skirt and top?? It took me a while to get it to line up right, make sure you use exactly the same seam allowance top and bottom. I sewed the skirt to the middle then to the top on all three sections first then joined them up… and when you put in the zip tack the section where the trim is first to get them to line up ok. Hope this helps… I haven’t lined any of mine…I just used a heavier fabric.
