Crocheting counts on Burda, right? Technically, I did sew up the side seams…
I crocheted this shrug using Lion Brand’s Acorn Shrug pattern, which is essentially the easiest crochet pattern on the planet. Huge rectangle, folded in half, seamed up the sides and viola! It’s big, bulky and oh so warm. I love it :D
I blogged about it at hippopotamuslee.blogspot.com!
J Hook & Worsted Weight Yarn, Wool/Acrylic blend. I'm not a yarn snob, mostly because I can't afford to be!

I imagine it wouldn’t be too difficult to convert the pattern but I don’t knit & I have no real knowledge of knitting… If you can figure out a basic ribbing effect using needles relatively the same size of the J Hook (6mm) then it shouldn’t be too hard! Just make a rectangle 42″×38″ and fold in half to make it 21″×38″ and sew up the sides leaving 7" armholes (just make sure they’re wide enough for your arms). Annnd you’re done :D
