Description

This top is based on the Ella Top from the Liola Patterns (Thank you Nicole at Liola designs). I made this top back in May. Been so busy I just barely got a chance to post the project. This is a really basic top with bust darts and back pleat, back yoke and yoke trim with armhole binding. What I love about this pattern is that you can make it dressy or casual. I chose to make the top on the dressy side and made it from a silky fabric. I had a difficult time sewing the armhole and neck binding (mostly because I have never sewn one before). For those who do not have experience sewing a binding Nicole has a great tutorial on how to add one in her blog (link below). Also decided to add the trim in the back. Love the end result and I can already tell this pattern will be used many more times.
