Took me a while, this did, but it’s trousers, a waistcoat and tailcoat in navy blue corduroy with silver buttons. The trousers were my first attempt at trousers, and they didn’t turn out great, but they’re still eminently wearable. The waistcoat I simply adore, and I’ve made a couple of similar tailcoats for friends who were interested. Very steampunk.
Blue corduroy with cream silk lining.

No, I think you are wrong…….your trousers are a success! Everyone sees where they can improve on their projects but they certainly met the test of looking nicely tailored and like you paid a good price for them rather than making them yourself!
