Description
I followed a very simple jacket pattern which I found in the older issues of Burda magazine. In fact, it is the same one I used for my Jubilee jacket.
This time I added frog fasteners (hand sewn), and pearl beads in three shades – silver, pearl white and pearlised.
It only took one hour to finish the jacket, however a few more hours for the finishing touches.
I thought it would look nice over a sheer Christmas party or New Year outfit!

This is such a lovely jacket! And those details! It must have taken forever to sew all these pearls? Well, it was worth it as your jacket is amazing and really looks like it belongs to a princess. It will be perfect for the holidays. Congrats!

it is commercial felt, used in crafts. I could not afford the wool, expensive felt.

Jenny, the start pattern only has 3 pieces, back, front x2 and sleeve x3. And the stitches are visible… and you don’t need to tidy it up! The stitches themselves take 10 minutes, promise! :-)

I am overwhelmed by your comments, thanks so much. The pattern is in fact in Burda 8/2011, and i chose it because it is so simple. The seams you are referring to are not in the plan, I added them afterwards to give the garment more shape. There are similar ones at the back as well. I simply pinched the fabric and stitched along the chalk marks.
