brown, green and blue. i hate wearing these colours, and sewing clothes in this colours. At least, that happened until the last weeks, when i startes choosing from my fabric wardrobe blue fabric to make some tops. who knows why? maybe it’s the incoming springtime…
this is the first one i made, in a dark deep blue crepe silk, wonderful fabric, found in my granny’s attic.
vintage fabric, vintage pattern.
i took a basic blouse pattern, added some lenght (it reaches more or lett the half thigh), a central opening, fluttering sleeves, and 2 elements i wanted to experiment: the triangular yoke with darts, and the curling at waist, only in the front sides.
i think the dress came out very well, i’m proud of the patience and the precision i put in this project ;)

you’ve done an amazing job, your sewing is fantastic.
I’ve recently come across a product called Perfect Sew, its a spray on stabilizer for very flimsy fabric. Makes it to much easier to sew. I can now use my stash of chiffons.

Very pretty. I’m impressed how you added the pleats using this fabric. I know it could not have been very easy.

the yoke part took an entire day to be finished! it was very hard to make, expecially because i had no pattern or instructions…but in the end it came out well!
