The materials for this petticoat have been accumulating slowly for over a year, but the thrift-store find of a TON of lace trim last weekend finally tipped it over the edge.
Originally based on this tutorial but it kinda took on a life of its own. Now all I need to do is make some skirts to wear over it!
The full construction saga at “my blog”http://tanitisis.wordpress.com/2011/01/16/frivolity/
Bottom tier, tulle; upper tiers, poly-chiffon. Lace trim, and a LOT of ribbon.

I made a petti for one of my friends that’s super puffy too (nicknamed “The Poofinator”. Yours looks much prettier though. Don’t they make twirling fun?!

Seems a shame to cover it up with a skirt! Just lovely. Lots of work though, I imagine :-)

Nice! Without a skirt over the petticoat I already think it is beautiful!
