this year, my friends and i decided to go as the cast of the amazing FX show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. we chose the episode, “The Nightman Cometh”. Charlie writes a musical and casts the gang. Hilarity ensues.
Anyways, I made 3/4 costumes in this image all from simplicity patterns because i just didn’t have the time to pattern all this out and there was a 99 cent pattern sale at hobby lobby. The far left costume is the troll/danny de vito and it’s basically a cotton tunic and a cape made out of flannel. the next one i made is my costume, the princess/sweet dee. i used different pink satins and gold rick rack for this one. the last is the nightman/mac. i made the top only out of black cotton because the pants turned out awful — too big in the waist by 3 inches but inappropriately tight in the crotch.
the second image is from the show for comparison purposes.
overall, it was an awesome first night of halloween =)
troll: cotton and flannel
princess: polyester satin
