My fiance and I moved in with each other over a year ago and both came with rather worn out looking sofa cusions. We had been looking for new ones for ages in places like Dunelm Mill but both the fabric and cusions were so expensive.
We came across this fabric on a market stall in Portabello in London. I haggled the stall owner down and got 3m of this fabric for £6! Bargin, it’s really nice quality fabric and worked brilliantly.
My fiance got involved in this project too, he measured, marked and cut the fabric while I sewed! We managed all 10 cusions in a few hours with our little production line!
I didn’t pit a zip or piping into the cusions and kept it simple by just hemming the ends and keeping a 10cm overlap of the fabric at the back.
