I wanted a very quick project and needed some simple dresses for school. Et voila!
It’s just a very simple vest shape with a side zip. I self lined the bodice and sandwiched in a thin piece of white lace between the lining and outer fabric.
My mum gave me these buttons and I’ve been wanting to use them for ages, but finally settled on using them for this project as they show up nicely. Foolishly I sewed them to the ribbon before sewing the ribbon to the dress, so I had to sew that on just in between the buttons.
Overall though, I think a very sweet dress to wear in the summer or winter with tights and it only took about 5 hours to make!

Ah thank you, it’s just a basic bodice block I drafted for myself and a gathered rectangle for the skirt
