I used the shift dress pattern from the book, Built by Wendy Dresses. This is the second time I’ve used this pattern and both times the dress feels a little “twisted,” so I think there might be something wonky about the pattern.
I added royal blue trim (my first time making my own bias tape!) to the neckline and armholes, a 22" zipper in the back, and a pair of patch pockets on the front. It’s my first attempt at “winging it”, if you will; and I’m pretty happy to now have an easy go-to summer dress in my wardrobe!
The fabric is Rashida Coleman Hale, Tsuru, 1000 Cranes.
