A tale of 2 patterns.

I have loved the bottom of this dress for a long time and I actually made it a year ago in a very cheap polyester I changed the neckline and with my limited experience it was a scratchy, itchy too tight on my neck a total disaster.
One year on and I decided to mix the Hanna top Salme pattern with Burda reglan darted dress 03/15. First I moved the bust dart of the top and made a French dart then I made a muslin from some old fabric and when I was happy I added the skirt piece.
The fabric is a light flowing silky charcole and it is great for summer or for a night out on the town. I’m going to make this dress again as I love it so much, the one thing I need to do is make the side seam smaller under the armhole as the French dart doesn’t exaclly lie perfect on the garment.
I’m really happy with the outcome especially as this is my first attempt at combining patterns.
Soft and silky stuff??
