As suggested in the title, this is a really simple skirt. It is inspired by the infamous Spring Jil Sander collection.
It’s basically just an A-line gathered into a 2.5-inch, interfaced waistband. It has an exposed zipper in the back, because it was the only zipper I had. I think it works reasonably well. It would have been better if the zipper was a bit longer, but I can’t have everything, I guess :)
The hem is longer in the back than in the front, a detail that I really like. All the seams are serged, because I can’t stand raw edges.
It is made, once again, from an IKEA sheet, a nice, rather stiff navy blue cotton.
As always, it’s also on my blog

awesome, I’ve really liked the Jil Sander skirts, so I like your take on them… not so pastel-colored, but a strong dark navy! Wonderfully modern and simple at the same time.
