Chatham, New Jer...
I finally wanted to sew something with my silk fabric I bought at the Holland Market, when I met some of my Swiss sewing friends. I wanted a loose pattern and decided on the one of Burda 134 of the magazine 6/2012.
I really enjoyed sewing this pattern. By trying it on I figured, that even though the skirt part is teight, it does not hold up as on the picture in the magazine. So I have to wear a belt which is no problem. However, the pockets which I usally like in a dress, where exactly where the belt is going through and also, they always slipped out of the dress because of the silk. I decided to cut them out again and now the dress fits perfectly.
Instead of the zipper at the higher back I only just put a small hook for closing it.
