BWOF 12/2008, #118 with an anlteration.
I liked the design of this skirt very much, but I didn’t like the front zipper fly – I thought it spoiled the otherwise classic look of the skirt. So, I made an adjustment to remove the front fly and moved the zipper to the back. Due to a pattern change I ditched the left front dart. The original and altered design are showed on the last two pictures.
Unfortunately, you can’t see these lines on my skirt, since seams blended into fabric after I pressed them. But, I made one more skirt in border / northumberland tartan (it is called “pepito” in Serbia), and these seams are more noticeable on it. I hope I’ll post the images soon :).
I was very pleasantly surprised when I joined the skirt pieces – I didn’t have to make a single fit alteration.
I love this skirt!
