Description
So this was supposed to be a dress, really. The bodice from my autumn dress (http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/autumn-dress-from-a-vintage-pattern) with a different skirt. But when I sewed together the bodice and pinned the skirt to it and then put it on, I felt like I was going to suffocate. There can be such a thing as too much plaid, it seems. It’s probably due to the strong colours of this fabric, it’s kinda overpowering. So I decided to make a set of separates: a skirt and a matching blouse instead. The skirt is not the most voluminous piece but it’s sort of boho and mori girl combined and it’s got pockets so I love it. It’s a simple gathered thing, no pattern.
On the blouse I’m still working and it’s gonna have the cutest back with buttons and loops but I’ll tell no more and you’ll just have to wait and see later.
