Inspired by Zoe of So Zo’s way of refashioning a shirt in the refashioners 2013 even though it was a maternity garment I thought I could still wear it without being pregnant replacing the elastic below the bust with elastic at my natural waist.
This shirt was originally my dads so it was quite a bit bigger than me. As there was some damage done to the top of the collar I chopped the top of that off and turned the rest of it over. I removed the sleeves and measured how big the sleeve holes needed to be, sewing a line down from that point. Then I measured where my natural waist was and sewed elastic round that point. This shirt is great to wear with skirts, and I’m sure I will get a lot of use out of it in sixth form next year.
