Description

This pattern is so simple that I can arrange details easily.
This is my 3rd version from this pattern, and I really satisfied with it. :)
I’m wondering if it seems like a nighty or something?
If so, I should dye to change the color…What do you think?

I like it. I think once you pair it with some tights it won’t look like a nightie. Also you could wear a different coloured belt.

Year, I’m thinking to wear it with a pair of tights or skinny pants in a dark color.
And I need to get a good colored belt! I’m thinking what color comes the best… :)
      Thank you,moonstar!

I think you did a lovely job. And if people can wander around in their pajamas why can’t you wear something that’s certainly more sophisticated and interesting than flannel pants. I think it’s getting the ‘nightie’ appearance because the pintucks/pleats release just below the bust line which is a common detail on nighties. You could sew them right to the hem (if you can still wear it) or at least as far as the waistline. If you can only go as far as the waistline, you could add a seam at the waist and there’s your opportunity to shorten the dress without disturbing the hem detail.

      Your opinion is quite accurate!
Your ideas is perfect to shorten it without cutting off the scallop. But, to be honest, I’d like to wear it as this length, because I already have two more white shirts from the same pattern…
I’m thinking about lengthening the pintucks to my low-waist line. I suppose it will be less nightie. I’m gonna try!!
      Thanks a lot! :)

Hmmm, hard to judge… maybe you could post a picture of yourself in it. White cotton might be not the best choice for this pattern, it reminds me of my grandma’s nightie. I could imagine making it shorter (more like a shirt) and wearing it with a jeans and a colored belt.

      Ah…your grandma’s…….
Yeah, you are right, I made a mistake in a choice of fabric…
Your suggestion is really nice, but I wouldn’t like to cut to make it shorter because it has scallop at the hem actually…. :(
      Thanks anyway!
