Description

I went to Menorca recently and got very excited by the market stands full of sarongs, which are, as every seamster knows, just big bits of pretty fabric waiting to be cut into outfits! This is a sarong I bought with the express purpose of making it into a dress, which actually turned out to be really quick and easy- I used a bikini pattern and just stuck the rest of the material on the bottom to create a nice summery maxi dress. Now, even in the height of summer, this dress simply isn’t practical in England. But luckily it looks good over shirts and you can even wear your jeans underneath (sneaky…).

Material Notes

Spanish linen.
