Description

San Francisco? Well yes, I bought the fabric in a decoration/dress shop in the Castro District in SF on our US road trip 2 years ago. And now I finally did something with it :)

The pattern of this pleated skirt is from Knipmode 02/2011.
Easy to make, although in the end I screwed it up completely when trimming the upper hem: I made a big cut in my inner waistband: nooooooooooooo! First time this happens to me! Luckily I had enough fabric to make a new one, but I was too frustrated at that moment. After a couple of days looking venomously at the skirt I could perfectly fix it and I’m very happy with the result!

Note to myself: be more careful with those scissors next time!

This is a very cool skirt. Scissors are not very forgiving :(

The fabric is from Alexander Henry and is called ‘Mod Dot’.
