Burda Style For people who sew

I know this isn’t done properly like a traditional quilt, and a family member who loves quilting was quick to point this out, but for me its more about the look or the colours that come as a result.
I love grey, mustard and cream and its getting onto Autumn, so to save on heaters I decided to make a bunch of very simple quilts. This is one of many and when I manage to churn out the others I dont know, but after the amount of unpicking I had to do with this one, I doubt future quilts will involve triangles in a specific colour order.
When I started this I just started sewing triangles together, not really concetrating on the angle or the colour pattern so pretty much every stitch had to come undone, but once I got past that and it was time to iron on the basting it finished very quickly.

I absolutely love this! Grey and mustard are so chic together, it works really well with the bold, straight forward, geometric pattern. I too hate quilting and totally love a “pseudo-quilt.”
