I have recently developed a passion for polka dots, and it is all as a result of this dress!
My polka dot dress originally started as a first attempt at the new Gertie 5882 dress. It is an amazing pattern, but somewhere along the way the bodice section of my creation turned horribly wrong. I desperately didn’t want to waste the fabric, in particularly the beautiful panel skirt and so kept hold of it, waiting for inspiration to hit.
Well, a few weeks ago I was sent a beautiful pattern as part of a sewing swap, New Look 6143, and I just knew this was the perfect opportunity to save my sewing mistake, and as a result I now have what I think is my new favorite, vintage style, polka dot dress!
Check out the blog post for more info and pictures :D
I would love to hear what you think of my latest creation xXx
