Description

To get into the habit of sewing after work and not feeling drained, I started off with something very simple – a dress for sewing (so I can slip into the magical sewing mode easier).
My patience was really tested with this dress. When I had sewed the rubber band to the waistline and tried it on, it didn’t feel quite right and I decided to move the waistline. But removing the elastic band turned out to be really time consuming (I could’ve sewed several of these dresses in this time).

This IS a great dress… it looks comfortable and stylish and classic and versatile. Did you use a pattern? I’m obsessed with finding the perfect casual summer dress…

Nope, it consists of two rectangular pieces and has a rubber band on the waistline ;)

ah yes I am on muslin number 4 of a very simple top …that was my weekend: muslins 4, finished garments 0. Sewing and patience have a symbiotic relationship :) … the result of you patience is a really great dress!!!
