This dress is based off another dress I made when I was eighteen. The original recently met its end, so I decided to take it apart and draft a similar pattern.
The dress is basically an a-line shape, with 10cm added on the front and back to make a centred box pleat on each side. The neckline is finished with a facing, and all of the seams are overlocked.
I like this pattern because it’s easy to put on and take off, and doesn’t require any closures. I like to wear it with a belt, but because of the pleats it has enough shape that it can be worn without one.

Pretty! I also really like the way you styled it. Recreating a favorite garment…One of the many advantages of being able to sew :).
