I made this bag for my A-Level. It was quite a few years ago so can’t remember much about it but I’ll try! The pattern is made purely by me, it wasn’t shop bought or taken from anyone else. The inspiration was the fashion at the time, which was a silhouette defined by a belt around the waist.
It’s all made from recycled material, bar the thread to sew it with, the piping and the interfacing to stiffen it.
The outer is made from a skirt and the lining is made from the lining of that same skirt bought from a charity shop. The pink beaded material is the base of a summer strappy top. The belt around the middle is an old belt which the handles are also made from. The flower had just been lying around my bedroom not being used.
I was incredibly pleased with how it turned out and got a really great grade for it (better than my theory!).
