Burda Style For people who sew
Description
A dress up costume for my friends little boy’s birthday present. I had the grey wool in my stash and knew this would make a fab suit of armour. I needed a yard so had to line it with something else and use a trim. I’m really pleased with it, and so was he. This was supposed to fit a 5-10 year old but he must have a big head ;-) The helemt is currently unpicked to be made bigger, this should be fun as I’ve only little pieces of grey left lol.
Lovely pattern but there were steps missing in the instructions which was a bit annoying especially after the messing around with the material!
Material Notes
Up cycled grey wool, lined with brown cotton, trimmed with suedette and two metal ‘regiment’ buttons from an old coat.

Ah thank you, it’s great and he looks so cute in it, still need to make the helmet bigger, I’ve had a brain wave, just hope I’ve got enough original material!
