Description

Here is a gown that a I labored over for a month. I was given a small picture and asked to make it. So, first I made a muslin and then the gown. I wished I could have made it twice to work out the kinks. However, I did not have the time.

Material Notes

I used charmeuse fabric. Lots of handstitching went into this dress!

I would have done the bottom differently however, I didn’t have enough fabric and getting together with the model was difficult! I just had to get it done!

Very Hollywood Glam of the 40s. May I ask why you didn’t do the bottom part of the dress like you have it on the muslin? It looks great, even if you see the kinks they aren’t apparent to me. Great job!
