A self drafted swing jacket inspired completely by #junglejanuary. I don’t “do” animal prints. Anne over at Pretty Grievances laid down a challenge, get those jungle prints out there! I love a challenge – challenge accepted. I found a giraffe print fur at Ditto Fabrics & sketched out a jacket for Daughter No2. The fabric finally came form ukfabricsonline. All the trials & tribulations can be read on the blog.
I had great fun making this, and Daughter No2 loves the shape, so I guess I will be using this pattern again. Which is just as well after the hassle in getting the right draft! 2013 is the year of “Do something different” for me, so far so good! :D
Giraffe print fur: man-made fibre, raspberry lining: acetate, self-covered buttons.
