I sort of hate all the words referring to garments you wear while sleeping, pajamas reminds me of those ones with footies and something about the word nightgown sounds bizarre to me. Anyway, I made one.
Modifications: added 2" to pattern length, added piping around yoke, changed the back opening from a zipper to a button with an open yoke, slapped some buttons down the front.
Simplicity 3778
some sort of synthetic fabric, cording for piping, contrasting fabric cut into bias strips, 4 covered buttons, thread, one cat

this is really great! I love the colors… I really like the interesting yoke… totally dig it! :) I also share an aversion to “nightgown” to me it implies ankle length flannel and white lace… This is a different genre altogether! :)

Oh man me too with the nightgown! I was really into Little House on the Prairie when I was young and when I hear that word I imagine Ma Ingalls padding round the cabin. Yikes! Not what I’m going for in my daily life. hahaha.

This is way too nice to only sleep in! Looks better made than anything I ever wear out of the flat!

Haha thanks, I dream of having as many handmade clothes in my wardrobe as you! I really wanted to do Me-Made-May but then I assessed my wardrobe….sad situation. I couldn’t even do a week!

Ha! Well, my aversion to making things for other people and working part-time (not doing two jobs like you) helps in my wardrobe expansion! I would have loved to see you Me-Made-Maying, maybe next year?!

I am definitely in for next years Me-Made-May. Too bad there aren’t any more M months! I am really sad to be missing out on the fun.

I would never guess, that it is a nightgown. Seams to be a lovely summer dress for the hot days.

Thanks everyone! Oh…and I would like to add, the oversized José Quervo marg mix was won at a raffle, not purchased, yikes, how embarrassing! We fed half of it to our friends on a taco night.

Really great! I have this same pattern. I love the pattern but I wasn’t crazy about the fabric I used. I really like what you’ve done with this.
And I love your mixer. So jealous! ;)
