The JJ – another BurdaStyle’s classic I have conquered! Kudos to JJ for designing this wonderful blouse – it is an excellent fit and a very timeless piece. The fabric I used cost me $1! Another bargain! I’d wanted to make a dress out of the fabric, however there just wasn’t enough of it. So upon discovering the JJ I decided that this fabric was destined to become a classic blouse. I neglected the ruffles as I didn’t have quite the right amount of fabric. I embellished the blouse with pearl (fake of course!) buttons. I like their elegance and sophistication – the blouse looked a bit ordinary with plain white buttons. The pearl buttons were the expensive part of the blouse – they cost $6 altogether! I guess that’s what happens when you live in a small town with just one tiny sewing store! Light colours really don’t suit my complexion and I’m really not a button-up blouse sort of person. However I can envisage myself wearing this to a job interview, or somewhere where I have to look grown up :)
Floral cotton (very sturdy, good-quality fabric actually. It really was an unbelievable bargain); 8 or so pearl buttons
