This was an interesting bag to make. It was my first time making something like this, something with dimension that has lining and also the shell. It took a long time to find the right pattern for this bag, but it was well worth the search, I found this beautiful fabric at Joann’s and it was a bit on the pricier side. I tried looking at Hancock’s but, they didn’t have the quality or the type of patterns that I wanted.
I also scrapped around my house to find the leather and metal rings. I guess I didn’t want to spend any more money than I had to on it. But hey, recycling old clothing and accessories is always economically better. =] I hope you enjoy seeing this as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.
I used lining, fusible interfacing, cottton, and leather. I had 1 and a half yards for this, and it was more than enough to make this bag.

That’s some nice fabric. Recycling is always a good thing, especially when the result is a nice bag and you don’t have to spend more money.

The pattern is from burdastyle. It’s called the Anna Boho Bag. It was around 5 dollars. I thought that I had posted the pattern on the side, but I guess it didn’t stick.
I would say the most difficult part about this pattern was getting the bottom sewn to it and the lining was a bit nerve wracking too, but totally worth it to make.
Like all the print out patterns on burdastyle, there’s a lot of paper involved when printing the thing. But everything did fit together correctly, Just be careful when you sew it all together. Make sure your bottom will fit with the walls of the bag.I hope this helped.
